Kurt Strogrin is an accomplished water and wastewater professional with a comprehensive background in operating, supervising, and managing water and wastewater treatment plants, with significant experience in remote operations and projects in northern and Indigenous communities. Kurt's leadership extends to education and training in this field. He has developed and instructed courses, including remote classroom and lab courses, and has managed co-op work experience programs.
From 2016 to 2023, Kurt managed 33 utility operators at 12 locations across North America. Prior to 2016 he supervised 22 operators across 7 sites and managed 19 remote plants. His earlier roles include positions at the Town of Whitecourt, McCain Foods Canada, Lamb Weston Canada ULC, City of Lethbridge, and Town of Manning.
At the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (2005-2012), Kurt created and delivered various courses and developed a northern/Indigenous water and wastewater operator training program.
